What does D3 stand for?
The concept behind D3 is simple, the ‘D’ represents all those who are deaf, and into cycling, the ‘3’ represents our 3 goals for this club, as listed below:
- Spread the passion of cycling to everyone in the deaf community
- Share the cycling resources/events
- Support who want to be on a development or racing team
The history behind the name of D3 – Dennis Catron, Joey Greegor and John Skjeveland were part of large cycling group rides in Carmel, Indiana with Team Nebo Ridge as the only three deaf cyclists – that’s how we came up with the nickname of D3 in 2010. Over time, it evolved over time to grow our community of Deaf cyclists.

Passion
We would love to spread the passion of cycling by sharing your story: Share how you developed your passion for cycling by sending direct message with your video to the D3cycling Instagram account.
Let’s ride together and make a positive impact by growing a more diverse community of BIPOC, women, and youth deaf cyclists!
If you want D3 kit, jersey or jacket – check it out at D3 Store and last day to order is August 10, 2025.
